A sleeve safety seal band is a clear or printed band that wraps the cap and bottle neck and is shrunk with heat. When the cap is opened it tears along the perforation, so you can see at a glance whether the product has been opened before. It is an essential part of pack safety in health-related industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and personal care.
How does it work?
The band is placed on the cap by automatic or semi-automatic machines on the production line. Then:
- hot air, steam or a heat tunnel is applied,
- the band takes the shape of the pack and wraps it tightly,
- when the cap is opened, the band breaks in one piece.
This way the product cannot be resealed without showing it has been opened.

Do you also produce clear, unprinted safety seal bands?
Yes. Clear, coloured and logo-printed options are available. A brand name or warning text can be printed on the band, or we can make a plain clear band if you prefer no print.
Can a safety seal band be produced together with a shrink sleeve label?
Yes. The body sleeve and the seal band can be designed and produced as one film. That way the bottle body and the cap carry the same design and both are finished in a single application.
