What is a printed sleeve label?
A printed sleeve is made of a flexible, usually plastic-based film that wraps the whole product and can carry logos, product information and graphics. It is heat-shrunk to fit the pack and follow its shape, and is common in food, beverage, cosmetic and cleaning products.
Production process and materials
Sleeves are produced from flexible films such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PET-G. After design and surface preparation the film is printed, cut to the size of the product and applied with heat to cover the surface of the pack.
When is a clear sleeve preferred?
A clear, unprinted sleeve is used when the original pack design should stay visible, or when only protection or bundling is needed. It is also an economical choice for multipacks and promotional products.

Yes. When the film type and thickness are chosen for your line, both can run on the same application line. Sharing your machine details helps us choose the right film together.

Can I get a sample of a printed sleeve label?
Yes. We prepare a sample for colour and size before the proof is approved. You can test it on your own container to check the fit and look, and then move on to full production.
What is the difference between printed and clear sleeve labels?
A printed sleeve carries your design, logo and product information. A clear, unprinted sleeve is a film without graphics that protects the pack or leaves its look unchanged. Depending on need, both can be used together in the same product range.
What materials are printed sleeve labels made from?
The films commonly used for sleeves are PETG, PVC, OPS and polyethylene-based types. The choice depends on the shrink needed, the container shape and recycling expectations. We decide the right material with you when you place the order.
What files and details are needed for a printed sleeve label order?
The pack size, an approximate quantity and your logo or artwork are enough. If you do not have a design, we can provide design support. The artwork is adjusted for shrinkage and sent to you as a proof before printing.
Are printed sleeve labels resistant to water and scuffing?
With the right film and print structure, sleeve labels give a surface that resists water and everyday scuffing. If you tell us what to expect, such as cold storage, damp conditions or transport, we choose the suitable film and varnish with you.
